Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that your application to the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program has been evaluated by our admission committee and we are recommending you for admission to the Graduate College beginning Summer 2006. Admission to the MSF is very competitive and the committee is highly selective of the applicants they recommend.  I offer you my sincere congratulations on this achievement.  

When we receive your official paperwork from the Admissions Office we will forward it to you by express mail along with information on orientation, classes, and special events. Orientation activities begin June 5th with classes beginning on June 12th. Please plan to arrive on campus in time to begin Orientation on June 5th.

Attached is the MSF acceptance form and instructions on how to pay the $750.00 non-refundable enrollment deposit to secure your place in this year’s class. This deposit will be credited to your summer 2006 tuition assessment.  Each year the program receives hundreds of applications and admission is very competitive.  For this reason, if we do not receive your acceptance form and deposit before the deadline of March 1, 2006 we will cancel our offer of admission. Should you have questions about this deposit, please contact me at (217) 244-3309.  Also attached is the Finance Honor Code.  By returning the acceptance form and your deposit you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by our honor code.

The Department of Finance at the University of Illinois is home to several of the top researchers in the finance industry.  You can expect the MSF program to be intensive and rigorous.
